As a Native American I say lets wait & see how he represents...then get ticked or..not. lol All I can say is I am glad I'm not Blackfoot, with the bird on my head...

Some of this news is interesting. Some is funny. But ONE story...one story is very sad.

@Kris0logy - there has been some research and reports that they were the first to encounter people from another continent (the chinese may have arrived long before any europeans did) as some words and drawings may have been influenced by the chinese

Seems like they could have found a Native American actor. I'm a little sick of Johnny Depp. The new TV show "Longmire" (I blogged about it the other day) has a Native American sidestory going on which might be interesting. And they have Lou Diamond Philips as Native American bar owner, tracker, friend and philosopher. I've always liked Lou.

Delightfully entertaining, as well as informative (gun shot situation and I've stayed completely away from that), as well as Depp. I like those shoes but I'm afraid I'd get a nose bleed each and every time I wore them, not to mention fall down, over, up something!! LOVED IT!!

So far the most interesting bit of news concerning Johnny's costume as Tonto is that in the painting which gave him inspiration, the bird is flying behind the subject's head.

@baldmike2004 - How interesting, I thought it was from an old pic but I didn't look real close & thought the man was wearing a bird as well.
@promisesunshine - I think it would be nice to own a sock monkey,even a pair of them, one with red yarn hair maybe.
@Kris0logy - i made LLO a crocheted sock monkey for christmas a couple years ago. she was happy at the time.
@promisesunshine - I can crochet but I haven't done anything other than simple stitches in a long time. Made vintage doll dresses with my Momma for awhile.
@Kris0logy - complicated stuff doesn't get finished over here. i don't have that kind of concentration. i'm making shawls now and previously it was mittens. easy stuff.
