This will be a bit different than normal...but ride with me....
2c- Vacation lessons... ahh a play on words lol...I think a lot of us need lessons in how to have a vacation, but I wanna talk about the things I learned or relearned as it where, during the last 10 days.
At the beginning of this vacation we already knew we weren't planning anything big, we wanted to get back in touch with all those Nothings that Mean Something..& we did, it was really great.
The hard part is the word great didn't come until it was very close to being over, things don't always go as planned....
But even when they don't you can still look into the Small things & find JOY.
Daniel <Hubby< started feeling bad a few days into it...Poor thing was just so ran down from working so much, btw learn to appreciate you WalMart bc there are hard working managers that make those trucks get there.
What that did was help us see even into the even smaller things....like games in bed...reading to each other. He soon got better & we did everything On our lists , not ALWAYS the way we thought we would, but all checked off....
Some other things That kept coming up this week-
- the word auto pilot...is NOT such a good thing....I was watching a neighbor & he was talking about he was feeling a bit off about his yard & that he let it go on auto pilot & so had we....up until a few days ago both our properties was so unkempt...& we live on a historical tour.
-Auto pilot let the Clematis get brittle to the point the flowers snapped off & let the neighbors Wisteria get a morning glory vine get up all into it..sounds pretty but will choke the life out of it...see where that's going?
- feeling like ashes on the inside...I'm a worship leader among other things...& the lack of a burning heart makes it much like that clematis..brittle ...
A song I found really touches me & will place it at the bottom.
- even into last night... a guy we were listening to said something that really stuck out & should be shared. God says to HUMBLE yourself, NO where does it say to Humble your Brother, sister, cousin, neighbor, co worker or even in a fellow blogger.
The main jokes in this film are about big things, love and life and zombies - we all get that.Simon Pegg
We forget the little things, so it's no wonder some of us screw up the big things. Neil Cavuto
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. James
Challenge:This one maybe harder to explain...but remind yourself of the wonders of the small thing how Incredibly made things & you are...
Remember to make MORE of the small things.
Enjoy the ride even if it's not going as planned.
Humble YOU not your fellow man.
Go to God with your ashes & your lack of fire
