  • The Dreaded

inspired by @megabyyte from her post.

There seems to be a trend the last few years of ppl not only labeling ppl & themselves but micro labeling.

& It annoys me on a whole 'nother level.

Sorta like this movie quote- " The whole purpose of places like Starbucks is for people with no decision-making ability whatsoever to make six decisions just to buy one cup of coffee. Short, tall, light, dark, caf, decaf, low-fat, non-fat, etc. So people who don't know what the hell they're doing or who on earth they are can, for only $2.95, get not just a cup of coffee but an absolutely defining sense of self: Tall. Decaf. Cappuccino."

This possibly, insane need, to micro label to find a defining sense of self.

EX: You are way more than Northern, female, lower middle class, with a MBA, liberal,  post evangelicalism, modern theory believer. etc etc yada yada...

It's down right harmful & is stupid to do it to others...esp when all that tolerance is actually for those who only slightly disagree with you or have a free pass for being a stereotypical minority. Because God forbid a non stereotypical minority OR female not pull the line. * insert sarcasm IV drip here*

What happened to, running into a potential friend over apples ... laundry soup & winding up pals over a cup of joe?

In Other Words PUT DOWN THE LABEL GUN!!!! I won't fit , most won't fit.
